Lol.. thanks Super. That would actually be awesome. Unfortunately that wall has an adjacent guest bathroom . . I have been thinking about having one run around the ceiling or maybe mounted on the wall somehow. We will see though where the imagination takes me.

I like the ceiling idea. You could use clear plexiglass so the shelving wouldn't block the view.

Whats wrong with that Idea...won't guests have a good laugh when they are using the bathroom and a train comes in to great them...especially if that train has a camera mounted to it...

Yes just like Mr. Rogers' trolly comes through the wall, except its equipt to transport in a roll of TP!! Ding ding ding! Ding ding ding!

Yeah the plexi idea would be cool. I wonder if maybe not going all the way around the room but more just along two walls like an “L” shape and then have the red turn around.
Yeah I think guests may find it a bit perplexing why there is a train running through..lol

Now that would be cool. Get a couple flat bed cars and put on a few rolls. Maybe even a beverage or two..

I got it!...I got it! I got the best idea for you Mr Ripley....cut out a 4' x 8' section of the floor in that room...run trains in between the floor joists...cover the whole 4' x 8' area with a clear Solid Polycarbonate plastic and waa la...a beautiful train layout that will look fabulous especially with lighting...a room that can have a layout and still have room for furniture...and...this is the best of all... the dust problem, which is the bane of every Layout, is solved forever.....to add an extra touch...you could cut out the ceiling in the room below it for a great effect in 2 rooms...this is going be glorious...can't wait for you to get started...

Christmas layout 2018 has begun.. this time I started with the village and some lighting vs trying to work that in after like I did last time. I am thinking of making this one more of a realistic one vs having the stations in like last time with the exception of maybe a couple monorails because, well they are cool. :-). More to come soon.
