to celebrate getting my tax return, i decided to go nuts and spend up large!
the bulk of the money went on the bike repair bills, so i dont owe anyone any money, some went on my credit card, and the rest i will play with, literally.
for around $15, i scored these two beauties. anyone know what it is?
Holy Cow Sun.....What a fantastic deal. Those normally go for over (sometime way over) $20 each even in Japan. Those are the hard to find sloped Monorail tracks that can also be used laid flat on a train Layout. I currently use one now flat for a tricky part of the layout that just wouldn't line up correctly. I believe it should have an image of a hanging Monorail on one end. A great deal, was this had in New Zealand?
Check this listing out, it also has a picture showing the rails in action. http://www.jauce.com/auction/252572278
Yes, in theory but can't be used overhead without the aid of several supports. I don't much care for the flex track as they take up added space, they are bumpy, noisy and, to me, the easy way out of the engineering aspect of the design. Don't get me wrong I have used them several times when all else has failed and I have many of the rare grey Flex tracks which don't stand out as much color wise as the blue. Take a look at the picture to see how I used one of the Monorail slopes for a difficult connection in our Layout.
yes, super, you are correct! they are indeed monorail slopes, and were bought locally. the seller often has japanese stuff in her listings, and she did have a bit i was interested in, but i have dealt with her before, and her packing is non-existant, so decided to not bother with most [delicate things like crossings with barrier arms, and two engines] and just for the truly rare item.
its a shame she didnt have of the monorail curves, as well.
