Yep, I deleted my account earlier today! Photobucket has been a "problem child" for years and I've had a number of friends who've experienced problems with them over the past decade or so. Basically attempting to extort money from users after offering a "free" service for years is trollish behavior at the very least. I'm done with 'em!

What a shame, nobody wanted this to happen. Now that almost every forum has been made unreviewable, this cannot go on. Thankfully, fellow members have found other ways around the situation, thanks a lot to them. Hopefully someone helps dissolve this negative impact on not just our website, but many others. This is one of those situations where you just want to give your enemy the bird.
I AM NOT DEAD. Just inactive.
That's a real scummy move on PB's part. Oh well we still can host photos here in the meantime or you can find another third party hosting site. Another thing I could suggest is if you come across one of your own threads that has had the hosted photos kidnapped perhaps you could edit & upload a photo or 2 to here if you still have them available.
And the saga continues......DodgyAngry

So i had a few min this morning so i wanted to go through and get my pictures downloaded. I get logged in to PB, and am smacked right in the face with 4,000 ads.. I mean, all over the site, everywhere... It is basically unusable. I finally navigate to the download button, and give it a try. It makes you say "I am not a robot" then pick some images that match what they are asking for, like Roads, signs, etc..

Well then, guess what, "Hmmmm Something went wrong..." is the error i got. I figured it maybe was the browser, so i tried 2 others, and same thing. I figured maybe it was since i had all images in the album selected, so i chose a few, nope same thing. In doing a search other reported this as well that you cannot download the albums anymore. I did find an add-in for chrome that was recommended, which worked wonderfully.

It does cost $2, but it is worth it, and the free version i could not get to work. Hope this helps someone out there, and i hope everyone that has an account with PB closes it.. Big Grin

Good Grief, who's running that place and do they do random drug testing? I am glad that I downloaded my entire Album from them as soon as I found out their blunder was not a mistake.

For those wondering...Once one has all their pictures saved from PhotoBucket and uploaded to a new PostImage account its easy to replace the ones lost on our Forums....well easy but time consuming. All your photos will be named with a PhotoBucket .jpg number so all you need to do is do a 'Full Edit' of your Post or Thread here at BPT's look for the Image Link in your Post, in it will be the name of the missing PhotoBucket picture. Find that number in your new PostImage account, copy and paste their Link over the PhotoBucket Link in your Post and you have replaced the picture and we now can all see it.

You gotta link for that dude? I can't find it on Google
What "Dude Link" are you referring to?
