My Curious Oliver Question

As I said, out of the box it is exactly the same as the Plarail and Motor Road and Rail one, so it should read Tomy underneath. There is no Oliver that reads HiT Toy Company and I'd be super shocked if Mattel was written underneath one.

A TrackMaster item from the US would read its company name underneath, however I've been told by HankAmericanEngine that the only exceptions are the 2007 newbies (Rosie, Duncan, Freddie, Rocky, Sir Handel, Busy Bee James) which read Tomy underneath as presumably they had just been made for the US market but the license handover to HiT Toy Company happened during this time.

Thanks Jdog, so without knowing what box Oliver came in everyone is exactly the same, interesting to know.

There is a difference between the original release of Oliver and the reissuing...the original first editions of Oliver have a extended white circular area beyond the face, (like the original Thomas' & Percy's) but on the re-releases the face line edge has been "cleaned up" and is distinctively different.

I just came out to snap a picture of it, and come to find them the same!?!?
Weird...in my mind they were different, but Jdog was right!!☺️
They are stammed and dated differently underneath though. Smile

The two used Olivers I have are both Stamped Tomy 2003 Made in Thailand. Do you know if these would be the original release?

Those eyes look so soulless...
I know that's not the point of this particular topic... but it weirds me out.
Wish they'd revamped Ollie before the 'Revolution'. He with that face desperately needed it.
