I think at 500,000¥ for a "toy" anything is Ridiculous..Big Grin. Then again toys can be anything. ( wave runner, monster truck. To name a few)

$4500 USD is way beyond what I could or would pay for a single plastic toy locomotive. I'll file this next to the guy on eBay who is asking several hundred dollars for a blue Suha 43 passenger coach! Wink

poor photo, very little description... i wouldnt even pay 500Y for that. it would have to deliver itself on a private jet made of solid gold for the price they want for it.

don't worry the market will dictate the price. If the seller is desperate he/she will drop the price significantly.

I forget what Japanese Television show that this train was in, I know we have discussed it before when I received mine but this train can be had new in the box for 3000yen or less and used ones could be had for around 1000yen.

OTR:
I wonder if its the same seller as this one on the Japan auctions http://www.jauce.com/auction/e186460959

I am always surprised at how much the Trackmaster items that we find so easily here in the US on Ebay listed in the Japan auctions for quite a bit including the Trackmaster II's (Revolution) I have been seeing a Hector listed (can't find it now) on the Japanese auctions for $150 whereas he can be found here in the States for $25
this sort of ties in the auction peeves and positives thread, but hows this for a dodgy listing??

and this one here could be similar, but im not familiar with lionel as to whether the photo is accurate or not

LOL...I will say its dodgy for the simple fact that they don't know what they are selling. I don't think I have much trust in a seller that posts pictures in the listing, not of the item, but advertising themselves. I also don't put much trust in a seller that steals or grabs generic pictures of their item. The only picture they show was taken form ToysTrain4U's YouTube Channel Thumbnail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76IGv9HlkN0 Plus to top it all off, the picture isn't even what they are describing since its not Lionel. If it was your stores display then why can't you take real pictures?...I am with you Sunhuntin, how do they expect someone to pay that amount of money when they list like that. What is confusing is the Sellers Feedback score which I would have thought to be worse than what it is.
