These arrived today. The Dr Yello I got after seeing them for a good deal at about half the listing cost that they are on hobby search, but after seeing the box and instructions I am having second thought. Maybe after some translation and testing it will be a better feeling..Dodgy

The Doremon set has heavy battery damage and will need some work but it is complete and other than a few box issues it looks good.

The other set was an odd one I thought I would take a chance on. I will have to take a closer look at this one. The seller removed the corroded batteries but put them in the box..?? Not sure why but there is some what looks to be pre-existing damage in the shells of the engine and other cars.

Anyway, here are some pics.

Quite a different type of selected goodies there Ripley and doesn't everyone want the corroded batteries included in their purchase? How do those neat, 4 wheel bogies look on that Dr Yellow?

In this day and age of the world economy when buying an appliance you get a booklet Manual with written with what seems like 20 languages, it would be easy to obtain translated Manuals. For instance a PDF download from a Manufactures web site where, even if the PDF Document was in another language, in this case Japanese, one could copy and paste the text into an Online Language translation program to easily read it. Maybe thats the ticket Ripley and Nigels, find out if Plarail offers downloadable manuals in document form. Seems like most businesses do that in todays world.

Is that for real? But I suppose you have to use a phone for it to work, right?

Is that a standard Google App or one in the Play Store? May be the answer to my prayers if it does work Big Grin

LOL...I can picture you kneeling beside your bed every night praying for such a translator. Big Grin

Please let us know if it works. I am wondering if Scanners with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) would work also. Once the Instructions or box scans are OCR'd then a copy and paste into a translator may work.

The translate app really does kick ass... it can even let you download languages (so I can instantly get Japanese translations in school, instead of doing schoolwork! Big Grin ) I have an iPhone for it's use, but I imagine it would work with iPad or Android. Works like Google Translate on the computer, and you also have the camera for real world translations! I use it all the time to sift through Japanese manuals for some unknown pieces of Tugs merchandise I own! Big Grin Hope this helps everybody here!

Would this app work if someone sent a picture to one that has the app or does the app have to take the picture?
