The Daisy and Donald models on the 1st picture are Bandai TECs. Never seen the Thomas, nor the red locomotive.

The Thomas is not motorized and a bit more narrow then the normal Plarail but not as small as the other pictured. Unfortunately if it is rare or anything it is in bad shape with yellow-ing and wear..Undecided

Here is a pic from the inside. Quite odd actually. Looks like it should make noise when moving but it must need a spring or something.

Hey Mr Ripley, I only just read this thread for some reason, the pic you mention to me has definitely got a couple of Takara's in it which I'll happily take off your hands, PM me what you want for them. Similarly the ERTL's would be welcomed as I have some others already.

I know what you mean about the batteries, not so long ago I bought a job lot of Takara's and another of PlaRail Advance, both job lots turned up with batteries in every engine. Luckily no leaky ones, but all of indeterminate age and charge. But of course the biggest downside is the weight of the batteries adding to the exhorbitant shipping costs. But I guess the sellers in my case were probably thinking they were doing the buyer a favour by sending them with batteries in, after all they don't know where they heading ultimately.

Now all you need is a Red Express Coach with yellow stripe to complete the Powerful/Angry Gordon Set.

Paint a coach red and add a yellow stripe using some car detailing strip as mentioned in my other thread, doddle Smile

Might the odd blue tracks be for the DO Fenbo Trains which maybe the same gauge as Plarail?

The Daisy and Donald's aren't ERTL- those are TECs. A bit bigger and more detailed than ERTL, and have magnets at the end. Wink

Yep that appears to be what they are. Odd little track, but I like how they connect, more ridged than the BPT..
