Wow, is this real? Is it a new release? Wonder how much the rights cost for that. So you bought this Nigels? You going to build it? What is that funny looking character in the lower left and how is he related to the Yellow Submarine? Why do I ask so many questions?

It is definitely new, from the Lego Ideas range.
i briefly considered it a week or so back when i was trying to put together an order of a certain amount on lego shop@home. im not a big beatles fan, so didnt bother. i did however grab the hotwheels version when i found.

It was submitted to LEGO Ideas and greenlit for release after hitting 10,000 supports. That character is Jeremy Hillary Boob from the 1968 animated film. I didn't know this until I saw it on Brickipedia or something, meaning I was just as surprised as you were. (12-06-2016, 01:27 AM)Super Wrote: Wow, is this real? Is it a new release? Why do I ask so many questions? Hi Super, No problem with questions, its how we learn things Yes, it is real and very cool when assembled looking quite accurate to the cartoon original. Yes, it is a new'ish release. Rights? Probably quite expensive Yes, I bought it and yes I will be going to be building it at some point soon. The little character is as mentioned by Dala "Jeremy" or as he is more commonly known thanks to the song from the movie "Nowhere Man", yes he had a song named after him and ultimately a hero in the movie If you've never seen it you should make the effort, Yellow Submarine features many of the Beatles best songs and is just a feel good fun movie BTW, other cool current releases in the 'Ideas' range include;
These are often available only from the lego stores or websites, but they do crop up on Amazon and naturally eBay with suitable mark-ups. They often do not hang around for long, often retired within only a couple of months at which point the price sky-rockets. Not that is uncommon for lego sets, I have a couple of the creator series which are now worth a pretty penny. For example I bought the Maersk line Train and one of the Maersk container ships. The former is now selling for ~ £450 in unopened condition (mine is although I always intended to build it) yet was < £150 when I bought it

Never saw this cartoon but am familiar with this boy band and the songs.
Not to mention, one of the two remaining members is also well-known in the world of one of our primary topics.
Yes, Ringo voiced the Thomas cartoons didn't he

Everyone should see this 'cartoon' it is truly awesome, like a great big long psychedelic music video - a truly feel good movie, just like The Blues Brothers - now their car would make a great Lego model, I wonder if anyone has suggested that yet?!?
