I thought of this idea a while back when I was analyzing the Plarail 2015 redesigned Gordon, and the older type [C-Size Battery in the tender, long siderods].
So, I think I may have found the solution on how to make this *short* project for your TOMY/Trackmaster [2009] Henry & Gordon models to look 100% accurate to the TV Series.
[PREVIEWS AND SNAPSHOTS COMING SOON WHEN I GOT THE OLDER AND NEWER TYPE OF PLARAIL TOMY GORDON.]
You'll need:
-A C-Size Battery in the tender powered engine [Henry/Gordon], make sure you have both of their siderods fitted.
-Plarail 2015 redesigned Gordon's siderods
-Spare blue/green front wheels to hold the siderods, and driving wheels for holding the siderods, and for rod extention [thanks and credit to Ucwepn for the idea in his customs video. ]
Instructions:
1. Unscrew the bottom part of the main engine's chassis, and carefully remove the siderod end from the piston housing from the bottom piece.
2. Replace the front wheel [the third one] and put in two front wheels to hold the 2015 siderods, and replace the long siderods from the original to the 2015 version.
3. Do the procedure on how you can cut off the driving wheels to hold the rods, and make the rod extention for long siderods to fit into the driving-wheel-holding-rods, to the piston housing [without error]. Just measure it how to fit it in, maybe 0.5 inches.
4. Place the cut-off driving wheel-holding-siderods to the long siderods [drive wheels], depending on whatever you want to place it, either the part of the hole holding the rod joint could be facing up, down, right, left, etc.
And there you have it.
