Thanks Super. As for the houses, I am not sure. I had to google what dept. 56 was, lol... They were passed down in some Christmas things from family several years back, but seem to fit nicely in a layout. At some point, I would like to have more and make a small village and a more natural setting with a station, the tracking running through, etc... Rather than plopping them in the middle of a giant hyper loop.. CoolBig Grin.

Video soon, I hope. Smile

That looks totally incredible in the dark. Are these Lemax buildings I see beside the rails? I love how even the tree is illuminated despite not being 1:1 scale. However, I think the LED (?) tubes ruin the look of the outskirts because they look unprofessionally placed. Apart from that, the layout is great.

Dala, WHY is it that anytime you say something nice you consistently and immediately follow it with a rude or insulting "IMO" comment?
You should probably "proof read" your comments and reconsider just how they will be taken by the reader, then backspace and delete the negativity from them before you click the post button!!! ...IMO

Very nicely done Mr Ripley it all works very nicely. If you want more buildings you should look at the Hornby range in the coming years they make some teriffic ones under the "Skaledale" label they are not cheap but they are very nicely detailed and painted and being OO scale are just about right for BPT layouts. They are also open on the bottom so you can insert LED's or whatever inside them for those lovely night time shots Smile

I don't always do that in everything I pay attention to, Muddy. Only in relation to the things that jump out at me, whether or not straight away. I'm sorry for any inconveniences caused by the words I choose in my posts. I do hope Ripley gives me a pass.
Here's a link to the Hornby site to give you an idea of how the buildings look, the ones listed here are just a small fraction of what is out there as they tend to release new ones every now and again as well as 'retire' older ones. I've got some of the first they released in this range but then stopped buying them when I had a 'life crisis' and temporarily lost interest in most things.

Anyway the link; Skaldale Hornby Buildings

The rope lighting was sort of spur of the moment. I saw the red at the store, then the next week saw the white. Since I did not have a chance to do the LED things I wanted too I figured these would work. I like the look the white has under the snow and but may swap out the red if I use them next time.

Thanks Nigel. I will have to look more into this for next year. I can see where this may become pricey but if I get to a point and have a more permanent layout it may make sense.

Are those Hornby buildings a kit or are they pre-assembled?
