What happens to trains after they are too old

Hi guys. I just wanted to know what happens to the trains in toy stores once they get to old. Like what happened to the already exsisting tomy trains when they got replaced by the trackmaster trains and what happened to the trackmaster trains when trackmaster revolution came out. Could all these trains still be in our toy stores storage area waiting for something to happen to them?

either sold/phased out as time passed, or clearanced off to get rid of them sooner.

i know a store in the next town literally gave some stock away earlier this year that was found during annual stocktake. this included some trackmaster dieselworks trucks/tankers and other brands of toys.

Thats a good question Tharazone1
It seems to me that much of the pre-revolution old style Trackmaster stock that was pulled from the shelves, along with unshipped warehoused stock, seconds, and parts, were sold back to China and is what is flooding the market by the dozen or so new Chinese sellers on eBay!?!?
Also many stores like Target, Kmart, Walmart, and ToysRus, kept their remaining stock and still sell it on their online sites.
Play nice & have fun!!Smile
