Some of my son's engines

There are few more classics in the bin, but I like these a lot, also, he really enjoys playing with these characters.

They indicate Gullane 2003 on the wheels, they have TOMY, UK stamped on the bottom.

Nice looking collection. I notice that Gordon appears to have one of those working lamps. Is he a talking version? I can also see Caroline and a *2006 Giggling Troublesome Truck (with the maniacal laughing sound effect from the pre-CGI show).

If they are marked Tomy, they were made in 2012 (Tomy bought Learning Curve that year, before Fisher Price bought the Wooden Railway).

*After 2003, the wheels were no longer marked correctly during the Learning Curve era. This was likely because that was the year HiT bought the brand. By the way, there is a specific forum for wooden trains called "Brown Wooden Tracks".

Thank you.
Gordon is the talking version, I can't seem to get him to talk again, might be my ebay batteries, though. I'll check. Yes, giggling one is the exact same one you mentioned, the other troublesome truck is the wiggling one. I thought some of these were older than 4 yrs, can't remember when I bought these for my son. I do remember few of these were only available as package sold with DVD. Sorry, I missed that forum area, I'll post there next time.

What I realized some of these trains roll so much better than others, must be the way wheels are mounted, or maybe some of them are just more stable.
