Galaxy Express 999

I've often heard of the Galaxy Express 999 plarail trains and even seen a few listed that went for seemingly stupid sums. So much though they are interesting I've never tried to get any.

But did you guys know there are also "Capsule Plarail Galaxy Express 999" models available?

I came across one the other week and won it in an auction and overnight I won another auction with another pair of trains (different to the other one). I have to say they look really cool and I can't wait to get them - a shipment will be ordered soon

So if anyone has any further information on Galaxy Express 999 or a video to keep AC happy can you let me know?

I was wondering if anyone out there knows how big the range of the capsule versions is. From what I can see the normal PlaRail basically only has the steam loco, with capsule there are at least 3 different locos as I've got those coming, I just wondered how many more there are in the range - if any that is

Yeah, having searched on Jauce I can see the whole Galaxy 999 thing is much bigger than i thought and way more than just a couple of trains. So I guess in the first place I was interested in the capsule range to see if I need to keep an eye out for others. But I'm happy to hear a brief background on the subject itself

Thanks Rok, interesting, looks like the ones I've got coming are different to the ones in that video, maybe there was more than one set issued - I'll have to wait and check I guess

The original anime runs at 113 20-minute episodes if I recall. There is a movie version that runs about 2 hours that I recommend you watch, sequel being optional.

Hmmm, 113 x 20 min's that is some commitment to watch all that lol!! Maybe I'll check out the movie if I can find an english language or subtitled version
