The video was very interesting, the city I live in which was once the headquarters of alco which was recently torn down to make a casino and resort, which is where I believe the train in the transcontinental railroad meeting with the golden spike was made. I've ridden the Amtrak trains to nyc and back upstate, takes longer than it would to drive, mainly because of all the stops it makes, but the cars are really nice. The acella trains are also built up here too, you can see the half finished and finished cars sitting outside wrapped up. I guess were kind of lucky, pretty much everywhere I go I run into some form of tracks, which is cool but can be frustrating when you get stuck waiting for a 300+ car freight train (happen daily). I can actually hear a freight train whistle as I'm typing lol there was a documentary on the produce train the starts in California and stops at Schenectady (where I live). On a regular basis I think weekly. Not far from here is a huge Amtrak repair station which has tons of trains in various stages of repair or disrepair. In the last few years the freight train companies have been putting alot of money into new tracks and signals, its pretty neat, they made a "station" near our house which they store all the new parts and equipment. I'll stop rambling on now lol
