Crazy dump score!?!?

This was recently found at the local dump and just given to me...
As soon as I looked at it I did a double take!!
Evidently I had no HiToys A&C models , because I had never seen this 14 nodule standard face short version before?!? Hopefully someone will be able to enlighten me about this? (jdogman)?

Even though most HiT Toys items didn't really have different faces compared to the Tomy versions, I still thought Annie and Clarabel would've had new faces to make them look better. Either that, or they would've looked like the Steam Along ones. That is very strange.

WOW what a can of worms this has become!!!
After looking into this, it has become ever CrAzIeR!!!
I found this below set on eBay...
It's is YET ANOTHER variation!!!
Standard length A&C w/14 nodules on top BUT it has the Steam-along A&C faces, EXCEPT they are stickers instead painted on!!

SO, not 1, but 2 different unknown variants of Annie & Clarabel were uncovered in a single day!?!?

Glad my memory didn't fail me. However, the faces are not the same as the Steam Along Thomas ones; the windows are black, the eyes are looking in the same directions as on the original Tomy, and the noses have no outline. Plus, the stickers appear to be a higher resolution compared to the printed faces on the SAT coaches.
