Cool Little Diecast Train Sets...

Well this was not something I expected to buy today, but on a visit to a local supermarket looking for Thomas Mini's (having missed all of the 2016 ones so far <grrrr>), I found these;

Lovely detailed little engines (with a pull back and go function) with a bunch of rolling stock. These are about N scale or Thomas mini size, so very nice indeed with some nice detailing, I got 4 different types, enjoy!!!

Very cool. I would like to see how those side rods look in motion.
I actually have some of these laying around somewhere from the 90's, cool to see that the cast is still making its rounds.

Unfortunately the side-rods are static decoration, if you notice there is a little white wheel/black tire at the back of the loco, these are the 'pull-back' mechanism, the other wheels being static decoration. But for the price they are pretty cool and I think the 'cars' would be compaible for use with the Thomas Mini's as they have similar hooks & holes Smile

These have been around for much longer than you might think. I definitely had the second and fourth engines when I was younger and some of the rolling stock.
Well there you go, first time I've ever seen them, but there again I only noticed them when I was looking for Thomas Mini's lol!! Found some of them as well, although wave 3, still didn't get any wave 1 or 2 yet...

A little sad to hear that the wheels are only static, but oh well. The pull-back non-static wheel looks a lot like a certain type of LEGO tire and rim. Interesting..
