I'm sorry for putting this off so long, as I just had this on my watchlist to remind me to show you guys here, but I kept getting lazy about it.
Now there's only 19 hours left to bid on this item, and it seems pretty rare, as I couldn't find it on the Thomas wikia, and I've never heard or seen this before. Does anyone have any information or interest here?

This is actually a knock off/"dark side" toy. It has obvious hallmarks that clearly give away the fact it's not legit:

1) The Thomas image on the box is mirrored (his lamp and brakepipe are on the wrong side).
2) The track system appears to be a road, and there are things such as a petrol station, signs and road cones, but the only characters are engines.
3) Even though the characters' colours are right, they all have black wheels and Thomas and Diesel's faces look wrong.
4) Spencer is missing his tender, even though James has the "bunker tender" that sometimes appears on licensed toys.
5) Even on Japanese boxes, the English Thomas & Friends logo is still used. Here, it appears to be Chinese, and since I can't read it, I assume it either has nothing to do with Thomas, or it's not a literal translation.
6) The billboard (?) at the top says "the most popular gifts...", and the barrier says "carefully" instead of "caution" or "danger". That's what Leokimvideo calls "typical dark side reads".
7) There is no "© *year* Gullane (Thomas) Limited" anywhere on the box, nor is there a HiT Entertainment logo, or any toy companies associated with Thomas.
I have to agree this is 100% a knock off. And the term "Dark side toys" to describe inferior knockoff toys is an insult to Sith Lords everywhere!

I agree it looks like a Orange County toy knockoff.

Ahh, all things I didn't notice due to being in a rush. Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna tell the seller it's a knock-off and see what happens. It doesn't seem there are any more knock-offs in his/her listings. Just a bunch of low-budget-looking horror films (or at least that's the first thing on the list).

Unless you want to try and buy it for a cheaper price I don't see any point in messaging the seller tbh.

Just wanted to see what their reaction would be to it being a knock-off. I got a reply soon after, and I don't know how to take it. Confused
They simply said, "Ok..."
