You have got to check out Suzukawas visit to the 2016 Tokyo Toy show which previews many new things coming including...
@10:33 mark
The new Star Wars Black Nankai Rapit next to the new 500 TYPE EVA, neither has been released yet as far as I know.
@11:29 mark
The yet to be released Disney Musical Chip & Dale train. You can see it in action but can't hear the music its playing.
@12:15 mark
You have to see this. A very interesting Dr Yellow Bullet Train release, Remote controlled by your Tablet with built in cameras. One for a forward facing, engineers view and one side facing giving the passengers perspective riding the train. Looks awesome. The trains cars look longer than the smooshed normal scale and each vehicle has articulating 4 wheeled trucks. Very cool

A new Bulgy set where Bulgy is powered and is the size of a train where he can run on blue sized track and he even has a rear coupling. Set has a Thomas and what looks like an action rainbow bridge.
@17:59 mark
A peek at the front hook Thomas characters that Muddy has been talking about.
@18:20 mark
The new Pororon Station
@ the end of video
Fisher Price has a display of their Minis.
There is also a bit on the new Shinkansen Deformation Robots.
You can also see, in a large Plarail Advance layout, the new Automatic Transfer Stations and what looks to be new Advance Elevated Curved Rails which may correct the problems the Advance Trains had on regular curves where they slowed down.
Sweeeeeet!!! Thanks Super!!! The Rainbow bridge set is awesome, though that is Bertie not Bulgy... Chirin in Tekoro paint covered Thomas is cool too!! Lots of great stuff soon to come our way!!
Play nice & have fun!!
Yes, I agree with lots of neat stuff heading our way. Thanks for the correction, I am not good with the Thomas characters.
That new Dr. Yellow has to be the coolest, most realistic train I've ever seen in Plarail/TrackMaster scale. Real bogies? RC? Hidden cameras? The second and latter are incredible features, and I could see a lot of people using the cameras to create radical videos without mounting cameras on existing trains, or even letting anyone know that the train is actually recording a video (imagine what disturbing espionage acts could be commited with that ) Even though the real bogies make it look like a Daiso train, it's definitely an improvement over any other non-Advance train ever released. I hope it will become a standard for "next gen" Plarail trains. Hopefully, they would also be able to introduce new steam engines with realistic driving wheels where the connecting rods actually link them together instead of having them connected only to the rear wheels.
I was just about to correct Super about the bus, but Muddy commented before I could finish writing my response. Either way, the original road system Bertie was better, as this one looks like he's trying to imitate Flynn. I quite like how the bridge makes Thomas stop before he can cross, though I wish it didn't have a rainbow design to it.
Definitely a lot of wonderful items planned for this year, if not 2017 or later.
Aaaaa I'm super excited just from the descriptions! I hope the Dr. Yellow won't be too expensive or too limited; I'd love to have it, and I also am yet to play the video, but I'm hoping that the Bertie set will be worth it, and that this new Bertie would be a suitable replacement for a normal Plarail Bertie!

Still haven't painted FFF's Daisy lol sorry my guy (i promise I'll get that airbrush kit soon)
Unfortunately, I can tell the Dr. Yellow will be very costly, as it's more sophisticated than a normal Plarail train (bogies, RC, hidden cameras). In addition, whoever buys it will have to have a tablet, and download the app that's required to operate it. Hopefully, there will be a QR code on the box or instructions.
I don't think this new Bertie is a suitable replacement for a road system one, especially since he has railway wheels, a switch on the roof instead of underneath, and a coupling. However, I suppose it could be customized to look (slightly) better by getting rid of the coupling and/or painting the switch red in order to make it less visible. The railway wheels would probably cause a problem on the road system, as they might fail on curves/turnouts and result in unexpected crashes since they aren't meant for it. If I were you, I'd stick with the original road version.
BTW, I noticed there's some sort of Thunderbirds Tracy Island toy. That spinning blue dome with TB1 and 2 reminds me of that Tomy Harold accessory with the magnetic crates and the "control panel".
Everyone seems to excited for the new Dr. Yellow! It is due for release in October.
some amazing stuff there. i like that the big turntable rotates, im guessing powered by the engine like the trackmaster one.
undecided on the bertie. he looks far to big, and what does he need a coupling for? liking the bridge though. quite clever.
going to have to get the star wars set. not a fan of the movies, but it will be a huge hit with kids i think.
as a fan of studio ghibli, i was impressed by the kiki's delivery service doll and display pieces right towards the end of the video. she and gigi look great, and im glad suzukawa included them.

I'm watching the video now, and Bertie looks better than I expected. I might find a way to mod him and put the shell on a road chassis, but if not, I'd still like to have him.

Bertie is badass!! Yes a bit out of proportion, (no more than HitToy's Kevin) But he's built just like a legitimate Plarail engine!! Quality and efficiency in design. The original, though better proportioned, runs clunky (on a poorly designed) road, with that tiny switch on the bottom, and feels fragile. The back coupling is great too!! I am hoping he can haul a long line of cargo!! Relax... ITS ONLY MAKE BELIEVE!!
Play nice & have fun!!
