thrift store backroom find...

13 Replies, 11580 Views

one of my local op shops is having a "fill a bag" day next month, and needed help sorting through the toys to include. their back room, more of a hallway, is in a right state and i barely scratched the surface today. going back tomorrow!

everything is in bags, boxes or just sitting loose on top of stacks and stacks. its an avalanche risk, in all seriousness.

anyways, i found this lot today. i found the green bridge side first, and am half hoping to find the rest of it as i go. all the vintage tomy was in one box, and the rest was gathered as i went. the vintage engine is dead: split gears and even rusty axles. however, all magnetic couplings are intact, which im glad for. i paid $12 for everything.

Awesome find Big Grin
I noticed there's also some sort of book VHS tape called The West Coasters. What's it about?

I believe that the book you mentioned is about passenger trains (Possibly ATSF or another local passenger service) and how great they were.

its actually a video tape about australian trains. one of my friends that has volunteered there since it opened found it while i was dealing with the toys and set it aside for me. Smile and the little blue thing next to the tape is a mini popple toy. might stay with me, or get sent to a friend. havent decided yet. Big Grin

What I meant was that if you post that on eBay, some lucky duck will find it. I am not a duck.
