Middle Wheel Problem

I just thought something in my mind during this time..

Do other TOMY Thomas trains have their middle wheel (to secure the battery cover on) glued on or not? I have two of them, and both of them have the same problem. They don't have their middle wheels glued on correctly, because my TOMY Lady has her middle "wheel" or vent thing glued on correctly to keep the cover on perfectly.

Has anyone have this sort of problem with their trains? I'd love to know.
I haven't noticed any glued in but they tab in and are held like that with a lever spring to pull them down so the shell can be removed.

I agree, I have not seen them glued down, but on Lady in particular it can be very difficult to remove the shell it seems. The spring mechanism to me is a bad design as it makes it more difficult to get the shell on or off and this can make it easier to break something or to just not remove the batteries, which we all know what happens after that.
For most TOMY, the "middle wheel" thing is spring locked. My Lady can open hers just fine, it's just grabbing the tab that's the issue.
I AM NOT DEAD. Just inactive.

I don't know much about what you mean by glued. Can you actually see dried glue along the edges, as if it's been glued outside of the factory, or does it just not want to move? I do know that on some older models of Thomas, the middle wheel is just a static piece, and has a little rectangular indent at the top so the shell's clip fits.
