Just amazing isn't it, sometimes you go ages and not a lot comes along, then you get one day when there's loads of interesting stuff. Today it seems was one of those having delivered to me 4 nice Takara auction wins 
Obviously I don't have the gear yet, but here's what will be on the way;
E4 Max Set I've already got a 'new in box' example of this, in fact it was the first 'set' I obtained. But this is a nice one as it has a 5 car E4 Max Shinkansen, normal Takara trains are 3 car trains. But the nice thing is all the Takara trains run on the same chassis. So if I happen to get together 3 sets of a normal train I can use the shells of one set plus the middles of the other two for a unique train.
Container Set Again I have a nice new sealed version of this set, but again a nice unique feature of this set is the special white track in the centre of the normal oval track. This is normally acompanied by a little one car 'Tram' which is specially made to run round this track. Unfortunately the Tram is missing from this set, but as it is the only place to get the white track its worth having for me to expand my new set which does have the Tram
Elevator Train Set (New) and Elevator Train Set (Used) - These sets are quite a nice and unusual set featuring a special building which is a 'Train Elevator' - something I've never seen anywhere else, not even in the massive Tomy range. Basically you have an entrance at normal 'ground' level and an entrance at 'elevated' track level. Your train runs into the building, you turn a knob on the top and the train goes up or down and comes out the other entrance. I wasn't determined to get both sets, but I did want the 'new' one for the collection, but as I'd not got this at all yet and the 'used' auction finished about 10 minutes before the 'new' one I put in a sniper bid on both (was out you see). As it happens I won both - so one for the 'future' box (as Super would put it) and one for 'play time'
Best part of the lot is I won all the above each at their opening price
