Caught this in a video recently from the Tokyo Expo. Looks like a new big Turntable from Tomy... at about the 3:27 mark in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAVp566PDuE

Yes, it was previewed almost a month ago. Not much official information other than the product yet though.

Thanks Plarnold
Is that site new?
looks pretty awesome
in the link from plarnold, it looks a bit like it has a controller that slots in between the "arms" where the blue arrow is in supers photo.

The Roundtable has to be huge to take a full 3 car train and have 2 orange, what look like auto-stop & go ends and 2 regular orange ends, sticking out. Maybe 24" across?
It looks to run on a normal track circuit. Reminds me of those clever track based turntable designs for the Duplo train system.
This has to be the best official turntable in Plarail history.
It sure is a big piece of kit and why Orange? Surely it should be blue? Looks like it wil be a reasonable price too, the ticket to the left said 5000yen, ironic as with that size and presumably weight it will probably cost more to ship than to buy it lol!!
I see Advance was consipicuous with its absence in that video, hope they're not going to dump it
Happily collecting things all my life...

Only thing I know is I sure would like to visit one of those Plarail Expos. How long do they last? Seems like there are new videos from it everyday. Does it last a whole year? |
