Out of interest has anyone tried just fitting the standard Tomy traction tyres onto the revolution rims? I wonder if they would just work anyway?!?

Are the wheels the same diameter? UCWEPN might know I imagine
He's probably your best bet, I can't really comment as I don't have any revolution to compare parts with the standard Tomy range, but from what I recall visually they are not a million miles apart.

they are close, but a few mm different. the revolution is approx 17mm across, while the tomy is around 22mm. the measurements were taken from a TMR phillip and a tomy disney dream mickey steam engine.

Bearing in mind you need to stretch the Tomy tires to get them on the wheels do you think they may still fit? If not how about a little dab of the ole super glue on the rims?

i think they would be too big around. might work if you cut out a section and glued it on.

If that's the case why not get some real small rubber bands and use those? After all that's all the traction tires are really Smile

Don't think they would be able to do the climbs and tricks that those Revolution sets have with Plarail tires rubber bands or O rings.
Me neither Super, but at the end of the day 'tricks' are only 'tricks' longer term do you really want all that stuff?

Whoops forget that, we had that discussion several times, don't want to start that all off again Big Grin
