Join ActionChugger and Family at the B&O Train Museum on a Day Out With Thomas.

Did you get to go inside that great Western Maryland F-Unit outside or that odd looking yellow C7O engine? I see you took your new blue track adapters with you for a traveling layout. That is a fantastic museum and the inside turntable is very bright and cheery compared to the ones I have seen. First time I have seen Thomas pull such large coaches which makes him look so small. Did you ride?

Thanks for posting this!
I did not get to cover the entire museum since it was raining all day long.
There were a lot more trains outside.
The model trains were parked and kids ride on train were offline Confused
I will take Evan back there when it is nice out.
We were there before when he was two.

This Thomas is not a real engine. At the other end there is a engine that pulls the cab and Thomas.

Well at least the rain didn't dampen the smiles (ya see what I did there, ya see haha)

Man, I have been reading all about that Museum and they even have there own TV show with Michael Gross as the Host. https://www.youtube.com/user/BORRM/videos Got to learn all about that indoor Roundtable and at their web site that Yellow Hudson Streamliner http://www.borail.org/CO-No-490.aspx

I think we should get Ucwepn to hold our Annual BluePlasticTracks Convention in the Roundhouse this year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJFWYp5Pl4Y

That should be easier to convince my Mom to go to than the Narrow Gauge Museum in Tywyn, Wales!

On another note, I'm getting a bit giddy remembering a project I had to do on the B&O Railroad a few months ago for Social Studies. I put WAYYY too much work into my slides; the rest of my groups' slides in the powerpoint were extremely underwhelming compared to mine, but I couldn't help myself!
I love trains!

I wrote about all the rolling stock, including the yellow chariot-looking coach in the catering advertisement, America's oldest steam engine, Tom Thumb, and a Pacific named after George Washington, apparently one in a series of "President" Pacific locos.

Of course, Immediate family is all invited, Ucwepn is footing the bill....I think. Plus everyone attending must bring a large box of tracks and accessories and during the festivities we will all build a huge layout in the center of the turntable...its going to be...w.ait for it....Legendary!!!

They look somewhat similar to the Sudrian (of Sodor) express coaches, which makes that scene resemble the episodes "Thomas' Train" and "Express Coming Through".

considering this place is in the states, i think stateside members should provide all track and accessories. wepn, myself and others from other countries all have weight limits on suitcases.

other than that, count me in so long as i can save the airfare!

Sunhuntin...the solution is not to pack any clothes, just bring what you have on and stuff your luggage with track and accessories. Or, You can just pre-ship all the track and accessories to ActionChugger and he will be in charge of it all. Its gonna be great.
