HO scale tyco canadiana

i bought this a little over a week ago. i was amazed to get it so quickly, as it came from toronto, and the last package i got from canada took 3 months.

took her out to the club last night and gave her two laps on the big layout, and then sent her home with our repair man for a service and slight adjustment to one bogie box.
eventually i will get the couplers converted over, windows fitted and try to adjust the light so it comes out the headlight, not the windows.





tyco released 4 canadiana pieces back in the day. this sharknose, an alco, boxcar and caboose. the shark and caboose are both the two rarest items, followed by the alco. the boxcar is the most common.

Wow, that is fast shipping. Nice to have someone in the club that can help you with the bog, whats wrong with it? Those red and yellow Canadian trains look beautiful running on the layout which, by-the-way is coming along nicely. Would that be the biggest layout in the club?

thanks, super. the bogie seems a bit loose, giving the loco a slight tilt to one side. doesnt affect the running, just the looks.

yes, its the biggest layout we have. we are not far away from completing the double tracking, which has been ongoing for several years. be good to have that done, at last. means we can run several locos at once, if i understand correctly.

thanks, super. the main editor has quite a sense of humor, lol. i built the basics of the site, and he updates when the newsletter gets published. i update little things now and then, but mostly leave it to him.
