Sorry Nigels I didn't mean to highjack your thread, but I can only photo post/reply on the "general" thread :/...here is how the Percy is designed. It seems to me to be a clear palette and empty canvas and a very creative modeler's dream.
No worries about the hi-jack, I don't mind at all muddy.
So this model has two batteries in the loco, but no motors or anything? That's a very odd arrangement or did you put the two batteries in there to power lights or something?

No no...that's how it's made. The batteries power the phrases & music...but the way it is made and the design lends to a myriad of modifications possibilities to me, not only with the shell, but also the chassis as well.
That is very cool. Will have to get one of those. Did they make all of the basic characters (James, Thomas, Gordon, etc..) in this style or only Percy?

Only Thomas and Percy are this way...Thomas is powered by a motorized Annie and Percy is driven by Harvey's engine.

Thanks Nigel. I will keep it in mind. No hurry to get one or anything but thanks for the offer. I have seen a few now that I think of it that are in larger lots, which would be a bonus.
PercyRosalina/TomixNScale89 actually showed one of these from inside like that. While in motion, the black thing that sticks out moves to activate the button underneath the shell.
