Paint Job Problem

Hello everyone!

It's been quite a while and I haven't gone searching for some new locos in the TOMY style.. but I may have noticed something wrong with my Japanese Thomas that came from the "Climbing Set" by Takara TOMY.

Thomas' side printed decals, including his #1 decal is almost fainting off even his red outlines (some other outlines are still in good nick.), even his driver's cab black decal outline.

Does anyone encountered this sort of problem with their Japanese TOMY Thomas? The reason why is that, I left it in my TOMY box for quite a while so I decided to display it on my collection desk.

Please let me know down below if you have this kind of a paint job problem of their Japanese TOMY Thomas & Friends locos.. (I'll show the pictures soon)
Is it possible that the box you stored it is was by a window or door that allowed the UV rays of the sun to hit it. Or was there a time that he was on a layout that would have the suns rays cast upon it?

I always thought that sun rays would harm my engines... I don't think my bins are going to get hit tho. I have them against the wall under my window.

Still haven't painted FFF's Daisy lol sorry my guy (i promise I'll get that airbrush kit soon)
Direct sunlight is the worst but even indirect could be bad as most toy plastic is not UV protected.

Um, no.

First of all, I didn't made my first layout for it's run. Because I don't have any more tables/room/spaces to build one.

Second, I kept it in my smaller eco-box under my bed for a long time, until I got my new and larger eco-box to store more of the tracks.

Third, I didn't left any of my locos near my window.

I know I haven't posted in a while so people may think I'm dead but, no. And the only other discolouring factor that I know of is smoke from cigarettes. I remember I saw this was a factor somewhere on this forum or maybe on eBay but again, somehow I just know this (and I don't smoke).
More and more...Big Grin
