Just saw this listing if anyone is interested..

A bit more than hobby search but maybe not when factoring in shipping.
Thanks Ripley

Just a note...That is for a Pre-Order as the seller lists the release date as April 1st.

First video I have seen of the Kyoto Railway Museum C58 No.1 Steam Locomotive just released by Plarail. I am on the waiting list at Hobby Search and anxiously await notification that they have restocked. A very nice looking Steam engine and tender. The video is not in English and he spends a bit too long on the box and removing it from the box but you do get a close look at this beauty. Will post other videos here as they appear.

One left here; C58-1

Many thanks for the headsup Nigels

I am not in much of a hurry for the C-58, LOL, since we have every Steam train that has been released from Plarail/Tomy except for the C-57 which we have sold. I also have a kinda loyalty to Hobby Search and I can use my accumulated discount points for even more savings over their already low prices
No worries, always happy to help fellow collectors - that is after I bought the other one that was on offer Big Grin

I may be able to pick it up somewhere else for a little less, but as the packaging doesn't carry a 'S-nn' number the odds are it is a special or something so may not be so readily available on the market, so I got in while the getting was good lol!

I think you may be right about this train not being part of the normal catalog stock of Plarail and might very well end at some time. Maybe for only a year or maybe for only a time that the Museum opening lasts for. You are wise to pick one up when you can as we all know how much the price quickly rises once the production stops.
Yup, that's a lesson I learned very quickly, snooze and lose lol!
