Japan Yahoo Auctions.. Rant

Well.. Let me start by saying it is almost 2am, so I do apologize for the rant and if there are a bunch of typos.

So, I found a lot on Jauce I wanted. I messaged a few BPT members for advice and thought and I was going to go for it. So it was to end at 12:45am EST. I put in my max bid with 8min left. I was the highest bidder and the auction said the bidding has ended 3 times. Each time the auction would start back up and have 5-10 min added. The other bidders would bump the auction up by 100¥ each time. I find this absolutely annoying. I mean I get it and it would completely be fine if the other bidder out bid the current one, but the fact that if it doesn't overtake the highest bid the auction should just continue and run out of time. Well finally I gave up and left it up to whoever to decide. Well after 1hr later than the auction end time.. I WON.. Geesh, what an ordeal. This was a very good lot (in my opinion) so I am very excited, but I really feel like it is something that needs changed with Jauce. Not sure if the other auction sites for the Yahoo Japan auctions are like that or not.

ive been through that myself and its not fun, especially since i often have to set my alarm and be dragged out a deep sleep if i want to live bid.
must admit, it saved my tail on the last auction i won. i had it set up on the tablet so i didnt have to get up and turn the computer on. something like 2am] i actually fell back asleep with 10min to go, jerked awake and refreshed to be told it was closed, and my bid was the last one showing. i went to my account page... auction not in the won section. went back into the auction and it was still live, so upped my bid and won.

our local auction site increases the close time by two mins if another bid is placed within the last two mins. so you could place a bid with 10 seconds to go, like to snipe it, and the time would increase. some close times can go an extra 10 or 20 mins on popular items.
