Couple of packages arrived today from 2 different locations in Japan.
I wasn't planning on getting the Disney Dream Railway Minnie Mouse Sweets Train but with a Granddaughter on the way I thought I should be prepared and have a few feminine looking trains for her. I think this one and the Nankai Rapit Peach that we already have should do nicely. Of course there are also all of our other Disney trains that fit the bill too.
Had to grab another set of the dark blue DE10 1690 dummy engine with front coupling along with its matching blue Express Coach mainly for its chassis as you will find out below. This was exclusive to the C11 set but these were listed by themselves. The shell will be turned into another one of a kind motorized DE10 1690 which I am not sure if I will sell.
I had been looking to complete our collection of DE10's and DD51's with this had to get DE51-58 with its great color scheme. I was pretty lucky to pick up 2 new in the box ones and had completely forgot about an excellent condition, in the box, used one that I placed an opening bid on and I guess no one else was interested as I surprisingly won it. So now we have 3 when I only needed 2 because the chassis of the above DE10 1690 dummy engine works very nicely along with a new motorized chassis from a DD51 851 which I had picked up several of many weeks ago for this very type of chassis swap. The tandem looks pretty good with gray wheels.
I wish there was a way to be able to swap out the yellow wheels on these DE10's and DD51 chassis's. The drive wheels are easy to swap but the front wheels have an axle shroud glue down and you can't just pull the wheels off and press on new wheels because of the wheel and axle being covered by the chassis. If anyone has a way to do this I would like to hear it.
I do have to say this but I know you all are going to laugh because its not the first time I have said this....or the second, third or fourth..... except for one train which I doubt I will ever possess because of how high the price gets, there are no other trains for the collection that I have an eye out for.....stop laughing at me.... I'm serious... Stop!
