Help! - Name This Train!

9 Replies, 9437 Views

I need help with where this train came from, its name and because I can't find it, is it rare? I have scanned the normal places on the Internet and have seen something close called the Odakyu 10000 Romancecar but the ones I have seen have yellow wheels and are not as detailed as this one. This one has gray wheels, gray top, detailed lights front and rear and the windows have silver trim around them in the drivers cab. Might this have been included in one of those Limited Edition 3 Train Packs or possibly included in a large set with tracks? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes it is a pretty neat looking train. It may also have panorama in its name. This is the only one that I keep coming across.

Looks pretty similar, maybe the one you're trying to find is one of these special limited issues Tomy make from time to time, I'm beginning to get quite a few of those now and they always seem more detailed than the vanilla versions...

Hi Super,

What you have there is a Odakyu Romancecar 10000 Series released around 2003 or 2004 (sorry I can't be exact with this one). When it was released, its catalog number was S-37.

I hope that answers your question!

Hi Plarnold, thanks for the help

Do you know which one that regular catalog release is? The yellow wheeled or the gray?
The grey one in your original post.

Thank you Plarnold

Valuable info as I think I will look for a new in the box one even though this one I have isn't too bad. Might as well offer this one up on Ebay too.
I'd name it Johnathan lol.
