2015 christmas show layout

had our first of two nights tonight. i shot a video, but am wicked tired and cant bothered uploading anything right now.

i had to rebuild the left had side... nothing could climb the slope with more than one car, and everything derailed when running the other way. damn trackmaster makes it impossible to have inclines with smooth joins. everything has a sharp peak no matter what i do. i will not be using this track again. instead, i will keep the buildings down and use adapters to run blue track.

with the scenery, im also going to open those and remove the red tab from where the wheels sit to spin things. my plarail yellow d51 gets caught every single time, because the activation tab on it is massive. im not filing it down, so will "destroy" trackmaster instead.

aside from those hiccups and a few derailments over the peaky joins, i had no major issues. i tried running chatsworth, ucwepns custom henry, plarail woody and two different thomas'. the chatsworth and henry were way too fast, the woody keeps derailing or getting caught on stuff. so i will get something else to take tomorrow, as im using my metallic plarail thomas and want to spare that if i can.

5min video, shot just before we opened and before i did the final spot tidy, so theres a few figures not upright. sorry for the blurriness in places. camera insists on refocusing when moved, drives me batty.

this video shows the metallic plarail thomas, annie and clarabel set running.

Wow...you absolutely out did yourself this year Sunhuntin, simply beautiful. Great idea using the metallic Thomas as all the lights colors reflect in the shiny surfaces as Thomas passes by. I will bet a big hit with the children. Thank you for sharing..
