korean release plarail engines

the korean releases i won over the last few weeks arrived today. i LOVE the boxes, so vibrant and well illustrated.

the boxed sets are in good shape, with the original cardboard liners, and one thomas is in a baggie still. a lot of worn print on the sides of the engines, but still passable.
from this seller i also got a talking trackmaster spencer.

everything i won from the seller.

Those boxes are beautiful and look perfect. Is the Thomas Freight set new? Sure looks to be. Does that neat looking coach for the 60th Anniversary Thomas have a character name since it has a face?

Yes Super, The coach is called old slow coach, he is from the original television series.
Thanks Starworld101

So it really doesn't have a name just a description like the troublesome trucks. Come to think of it besides Henrietta and the cranes does any of the faced rolling stock have a given name?

I think maybe only Hector and Scruffy are the exceptions in the TV series

There have been others based on the books such as fred pelhay and rickety but there names were given to them after the books

heres another photo of percy. to me, he looks normal, but ive not had a plarail version before. i do think the black rectangle seen in the box photo [above the wheels] might be different to the standard tomy releases.

everything is very tidy, super. the freight set is in top condition except thomas has no eyebrows and the tanker has a green mark on it. the couplers arent stretched out on anything, and everything runs, though i will clean the engines for fluff as best i can.

There's also the Skarloey Railway coaches, who had names in the Railway Series, but were never named, although did speak, in the TV series. Their names are Agnes, Ruth, Lucy, Jemima, and Beatrice.
There are newer rolling stock characters, like Rocky the crane, Jerome & Judy the breakdown cranes, Bradford the brakevan, and of course, Toad.
I don't know if I'm actually correct, but I thought brakevans and cranes are rolling stock. There are, however, a lot more coaches with faces in the magazines, such as "Annie and Clarabel's old friend", and "The Posh Coaches".
You are correct, but cranes are not used very often, only in emergencies. Plus, those coaches only appeared in one book/magazine story.
I AM NOT DEAD. Just inactive.
