Rare Tomy Pokemon Set???

This must be a rare vintage Tomy (red logo) Pokeman set. Listed new as "Purare Le Pokemon Diamond Block Linear in GO" for 65000yen (not cheap). It also has the Lego type bumps like the old sets have. Anyone familiar with it and the year of release maybe as I have not seen it before.

it is not rare enough to warrant that price!!! I would say it is from the year 2000. I have seen it many times on Jauce new and used anywhere from 4500yen to 7500yen. I was never interested in the set but I am pretty sure that is an outrageous price.

Not vintage at all then. I thought, just because of the Lego type (Diamond Block???) and old Tomy logo it would be like from way back. I know you probably have mentioned this before but what was the time period did Tomy have that Logo? Or might there be a chronological list of the different Tomy logo's and their years somewhere?

I aged it from the inclusion of the Pokemon Pichu who came out in the second generation of Pokemon dating it somewhere from 1999-2001, I figure this set would be 2000. here are the Tomy logos and their years of use.

Wow, I didn't realize way back to 1924. Wonder what they made back then and how small the company was. Its neat to see that the Tomiyama morphed into Tomy. My favorite Logo is the one with the 2 children holding hands. Its also interesting to see the font changes too.
