It's Been A While...

Hi Folks,

Well it's been a while since I posted any of my new purchases/additions, but that's what you get when you get a job and go back to work, no time to do things Smile

Anyway, to condense it all a little bit there have been a few deliveries from the land of the rising sun including various plarail loco's which I'll post details of at a later point hopefully this weekend.

But I did have one auction win I just had to share with you, this was purchased early this week and delivered a day or two back. From eBay and sold by Oxfam it was a 'job lot' (I just love them) of a bunch of 20+ loco's and a variety of rolling stock - in total nearly 60 items. I admit it was more expensive than I normally pay but the items looked in great condition and although listed as 'untested' it was from a charity after all Smile.

Anyway to cut a long story short I am over the moon, every single item in the package is in fully working condition and absolutely mint condition, looking as though they have never been run and definitely have never seen a track. I suspect they were either collected and stored for a project that never came to fruition or similar, I don't think they have even been displayed as they are totally dust free.

As for what was included, from memory here's the loco's in the box;

Thomas (surprise, surprise)
Edward
Henry
Gordon
James
Percy
Toby
Duck
Donald
Douglas
Boco
Emily
Molly
Ben
Bill (at last didn't have that one)
Rosie
Lady
Oliver (yes another one mr ripley Big Grin )
Stepney
Flora

There's a couple more, but I can't remember off the top of my head, all the above come with their appropriate rolling stock including wagon loads where they should be - for example rosie's balloons.

A couple of highlights from the Japanese deliveries included the Thomas cargo set (Thomas + carriage, various wagons, bumpy bridge etc...) brand new delivered for just over £25.

And this - an unusual plarail 'suburban' train sporting 'Thomas & Friends' Percy artwork, saw this and just couldn't resist getting it;

Sweet.. Nice score again. Nice job Nigel
That Keihan 1000 series with Percy wrap is quite beautiful. I couldn't come up with a picture or video of the real one.
Yeah its a lovely loco, shame its just a sticker wrap as it would have been truly awesome if printed, but that's life I guess Smile

Anyway I believe I promised you in another thread the new ones I just won in an auction, these are destined for me 'future box' as inspired by you Super Smile
