I issued a complaint and inquery as to the matter with Jauce, as I was the high bidder at the auctions general ending, as well as throughout the 5 min. time extension..
I continuously refreshed the page until the final seconds ticked away...with ZERO time left, I was redirected and reimbursed and declared "outbid" and "auction ended"!?!?
Something VERY FISHY STINKS!!

One of the things that I am not a fan of with the Yahoo Auctions of Japan, the 5 minute extensions which can go on and on and the ability for the seller to end the auction at any time they choose. I got stuck with an item once because the seller ended the auction days early and at the time I was the high bidder. I had changed my mind on the item and knew that I had no worries as there would be last minute biding. There is also the chance of a delay in a bid due to Internet connections or slow connections from an Internet provider to Jauce and then to Yahoo. There are a couple of cyclones in Asia that may be messing with the satellites. I know that Japamart has their own rules about more than one of their represented clients bidding on the same item, I wonder if Jauce has the same rules. Or maybe its as you say, something stinks. I would suspect your beef would be with Yahoo and not Jauce. Sorry for you missing out Muddy.

Yes thanks Super..thats what I don't get is that I was never afforded the opportunity to counter bid at the end of the extension( which I was clearly winning!!)
35000 yen and awake at 5:30 AM to have a glitch allow someone to steal it and not be able to counter is unacceptable.

you have to remember with jauce is it is just one of 3 [or more??] sites allowing members to bid and buy the exact same listing. it is merely a platform. highly likely someone from one of the other 2 sites was able to sneak in somehow.

i was watching it and couldnt afford to bid, but for what its worth it would have been a 1am wake up if had chosen to. [been there, done that and nearly froze my rump off it was that cold]
my website address has changed: https://sunscollections.weebly.com/

Thanks sunhuntin, I honestly couldn't afford to bid on it either... The D&D set is the very last of only 2 left for completion of the collection...it was actually a horrible time to find it, but I made arrangement to bite the bullet to aquire it.
I did file an inquiry with Jauce to reveiw the time signatures and bidding records, and am waiting for an explanation...I realize there will be others in future, but until that future arrives the sour taste in my mouth will continue to linger.

Do you have a link to the item, it sounds really cool, but I have not see this set. Thanks.
I'm sorry if this doesn't help you feel any better, but I guess you have never been in an auction where you were the highest bidder (at an already inflated price) for the last 2 weeks, only to be beaten in the last 2 seconds by prices that are a further 10 times of your highest bid (which wasn't the price shown for other bidders at the time).

Don't worry though. New ones will appear. Smile In the meanwhile, complete the other parts of your awesome collection with the money. It's not like there was a deposit and you waivered those funds.

P.S. It wasn't me by the way. I don't need this set… yet.

Lol..no that'd be me!! Thats my general M.O... to wait until the last 2 sec. then hammer in the nails with a ridiculous over the top bid to steal it.
But this was different because the auction ended with me as the winner!!
If I had been outbid in the extension period, the 5 min. should have restarted allowing me a rebuttal bid!! But instead the bidding ended and instead of being notified I had won, my funds reappeared as unused and I was notified the auction had ended. I do understand and play by the rules but they cannot be changed once the game starts!! Also there is no use for the money for any other items to buy that will help complete the collection except for The Snowplow set and TnA Henry, and they aren't there.
