Bargains to be Had Maybe?

Hi folks,

If you happen to live in the UK and happen to be looking for the Thomas 'core character' locomotives they are currently being offered at half price in Argos (search for stock code 355/4890) so are £6.99 instead of £13.99. If it's relevant these are the fisher price versions.

The downside is that stock is a bit haphazard in the stores and they only have the one product code for the item so if they have one or more in stock you don't know what one(s) it is. However if you request it at the till they will get the item for you to 'view' before you commit to buying it if you need to.

So bottom line is if you need any of these and happen to be passing a store it may be worth a look. Smile

Just so you know I got Percy and Emily...

Cheers, Nigel
Thanks Nigel,

Looks like they're struggling to get rid of these TM2/Revolution items (as per the description) although the photos show TM1 Percy & Thomas.
Argos are like this, sometimes they just have something on special at silly reductions. The other thing they've had if your kids are into them are the v2 Aquabugs (aka robot fish). They are doing a 2 pack for £9.99 or two for £15.00, so effectively 4 for £15.00 or about £3.75 each. Bearing in mind these are the new v2 models this is damn good as they are £9.99 each in Toys R Us in the UK.

As for the negative review, ignore it, we got a bunch of them and not had a single problem with them yet, I suspect the user complaining simply hasn't replaced the batteries or done it incorrectly lol!

Rather more than one negative review you'll find. Look at Ucwepn's Youtube videos for some of the problems that many of us have encountered - and some solutions.
Sounds like I better check it out, although as I said so far no issues here and we've had them for a month or two now Smile
Chris I think Nigel was referring to the reviews on the Aqua-thingies rather than the trains .

Strangely Argos have the trains listed at 2 different prices and I think they made a mistake with letting you have Emily as sher isn't a core model . The core range is the 6 usual suspects .
Argos sometimes up-cock on things like this lol!!

The other month they had listed two of the latest 3 packs of 'trap team' skylander characters, one set of listings were the regular £24.99, the other listings were at £14.99

Bottom line is the bargains are there to be had if you dig a little bit Smile
