The older models aren't compatible but it does look like the whole range will be re-issued with the new type of bodies.
This may sound bad if you've already spent good money on the older models but they will probably be discontinued and become more valuable for the collectors. Besides it's good to have some trains just running round while you concentrate on stopping and starting others.
ACS compatible trains will have this symbol on the box.
