I now have several different locomotives with the sound/smoke generator fitted, so much better than the old style smoke generators that used to use light oil converted to steam by a heater module. Using just plain water is a much better idea, similar i guess to the Thomas steam generator PlaRail model, except this works better due probably to the higher voltages. I think they could still learn something from PlaRail though and fit an LED into the funnel as Tomy did as that makes the smoke easier to see...
So far I have the following models with the steam generator/hm7000 DCC system;
LNER, P2 Class, 2-8-2, 2007 'Prince of Wales'
LNER, W1 Class, 4-6-4, 10000 'Hush Hush'
BR, A3 Class, 'Flying Scotsman' With Steam Generator, Diecast Footplate & Flickering Firebox
at some point I need to add a Black 5 to the stable, for some reason I've never got hold of a Black 5 locomotive of any type...
