Correct. The stamp locations are outside of each of the ten stations, so you don't actually have to travel on any trains. You could go round them all on your bike if you wanted.

There are also two other prizes, the acrylic display stands, that you can get when making purchases over 600 yen at specific outlets after you've got stamps from inside the ticket gates for the Hayabusa or Komachi shinkansens. Presumably there's some sort of limit on them as well, when they're gone they're gone, but it's not specified.
