Death threats over a children's toy? Really?

NOTE: This is a post I made on the TTTE wikia, which I then copied and pasted over to here.

I've been meaning to talk about this for months but it's really been annoying me more recently. Anyway, I'm almost positive that none of you like the new Trackmaster trains due to the fact that they all have virtually the same chassis and are somewhat ugly. Now that's fine, but another of the main complaints, which isn't even about much of a real flaw, is the lack of detail. Last I checked, most kids don't give a flying quack about minor details and they want toys that can do cool things, not just go in circuits. I admit they don't look as good as they used to, but from a kid's point of view that's really not a problem. Some people are so desperate for the old ones to come back that they are petitioning to bring the old range back. Someone had said that kids should enjoy the "childmaster" as they called it and that the adults deserve the "trackmaster premium" aka the old range. So they're saying that they've made it so that the new ones are now for kids, as if that wasn't who they already were for. I also remember another person saying, after someone had said that they're kids toys, that "[we] don't understand, and [they] want to make a series with detailed models." Whoever said this is clearly too big-headed to understand that they're for kids. Then we get to the worst part: several people have actually sent death threats to Fisher-Price over the new range. One guy said, and I quote, "bring back the old trackmaster or we riot". Is this really how low humanity has sunken? People who are way older than the target audience are threatening to kill toy designers, INNOCENT PEOPLE, if they don't change a toy back to how it was because said people can't deal with a change. Besides, if Mattel's corporate headquarters did get burned down or whatever, it would be the end of TTTE altogether. If you want the old ones so bad, get Plarail! That's still available!!

Sorry for the long post but I needed to vent. The internet is my therapist. Tongue

Do you think these death threats and complaints are justified? Do you really want to go that far to bring back the old range? Lemme know what you think.
