New Triang '00' Sets

If you're into toy trains you will know that Triang is the brand that Hornby went under after they bought out Triang some decades back and which superseded the 'Hornby Dublo' brand they had been using.  Of course that eventually moved on to become 'Triang Hornby' and then in latter years just 'Triang' <phew!>

Anyway, as it is one of Hornby's anniversaries they are currently selling some limited edition products in the form of a couple of 'retro' Triang train sets.  Being based on original Triang sets they are effectively the same, but with the rolling stock updated more towards the current designs, so although it is the same consist it is the more modern mechanisms etc... being used.  There are two sets available, a 'Lord of the Isles' set and a 'Breakdown' set, each is limited to a maximum of 1,000 sets.

Here's some pictures of the 'Lord of the Isles' set with the absolutely delightful loco, very similar to the original Triang model including the brass effect dome, but with far more detail such as the painted cab detail (you'll love this one Super!)...
