It seems that Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch stands out with the longest name of a settlement in Europe, but don't forget Taumata­whakatangihanga­koauau­o­tamatea­turi­pukaka­piki­maunga­horo­nuku­pokai­whenua­ki­tana­tahu (a hill near Porangahau, south of Waipukurau in southern Hawke's Bay, New Zealand). It's just a hill, but it's a place with the longest name.
