In case anyone is wondering, this a rather silly Welsh name invented by some Victorian idiots in an attempt to generate tourism. The place is known to everyone who lives there as Llanfair PG. Llan means the area around a church, and Fair is the name Mair, = Mary (with the M mutated to F for reasons you really don't need to know!).
