Not sure I quite understand your message, but it reminded me of another cool way to translate, using a cell phone camera in the Google Translate app you can translate text on boxes, signs, pictures, anything really
There is a less reliable "live" view
And a more reliable "scan" mode, where you can highlight specific text on the page

Clicking on the arrow next to the translation in the blue box at the top allows you to see the whole highlighted text
