@ laG: Trackmaster Luke is imprecise and wrong, I think. The shape is wrong... especially in the front part. Generally, when there is a Tomy train, I'll always pick Tomy over Trackmaster. In most cases, there is an obvious difference in appearance and quality.
@ Super: Sadly, I don't have enough room to display them, although it would be nice to have them in sight all the time. Some of them stay in my two depots on the layout as long as their "theme" is on. For example, some Thomas & Friends trains are currently in the depots, but when the theme changes to "Commuter trains", they'll go here somewhere (for a while):
Here is Luke's basis, Kerr Stuart 0-4-0ST Wren Class No. 4256 "Peter Pan", built in 1922, and Luke from the TV series:
Rivets are great, Super, but in my opinion Tomy did a way better job here:
Tomy Luke:
Trackmaster Luke:
Luke should be ... small, narrow - not so flattened and wide like the Trackmaster model... Trackmaster model lacks those 2 front boxes (I don't know what they are, but they should be there). Trackmaster version is also missing front and back windows. Luke has huge windows - how could they forget them? Side windows and numbers are stickers on Trackmaster model, and Plarail Luke has only one sticker (the back lamp), everything else is painted on. Plarail model has a nice golden whistle.
