AJ, this is what we call 'dark blue tracks'. It ran from 1992 until 1997, with Tomica World replacing it in 1998. You will notice that the driving wheels have teeth on them beside the rim, in effect like a rack-and-pinion mountain railway. Then look closely at the ramp track piece in Duck's second photo. Several of the early models of Plarail sound / talking stations were re-branded into the Tomy Train line. Pretty much all the trains, sets, and accessories are still widely available in the second-hand market and on auction sites, at least in the UK.
