I just showed those articles to my eight year old son, a nearly life long Thomas fan. He looked horrified, gasped and said “Oh God”! He started singing the chorus to “Stressed Out” which is “Wish we could turn back time, to good old days”.
Keep in mind that he’s thinking of around six years ago!
What gets me is that they’ve committed to two seasons of this. What if it’s a massive failure? Would there be a point that Mattel admits that they’ve failed because they didn’t respect the fans or the source material?
