Some of what we have received in the last week.
Thanks to Gerisplarail1 for giving me the information on the Meitetsu Mo Series 510. To me its not a train but more of a street car. Reminds me of some of the old street cars in the U.S. This set is beautiful and I actually have another new set of these coming because they were so cheap to me. Thank Geris
I was not to interested in the Euro Liner to begin with as I didn't care for the lines on the lead and trailing engines. I found this listed as not working one for terribly cheap for this model so I picked it up as a project train. I was much more impressed with the looks once I had it in hand and all it needed was to be disassembled, cleaned and lubed and it runs quite well. I was also able to find an additional middle car as I think all these trains look better with 2 or more middle cars than the one that comes with them. Might even be a future mo with adding lights.
The relatively new release of the East i looked nice to me and what sold me was the lighted headlights. Of course I had to come up with an extra middle car to stretch it out. Found on Ebay for what I thought was a reasonable price.
Had to pick up this set of the white DD51 with white Euro Liner Coach and clear auto carry box car for the extra white Euro Liner coach to go along with the others I have and the DD51 Diesel to pull them. I like the unusual and these coaches fit the bill.
The tracks you see in the pictures above I think are called 1/2 Garter Bridges. I had the red ones but wasn't happy with how they looked with the blue track. I didn't know they made blue ones but I have seen then in several different colors now. To be honest I thought the blue was going to be a perfect match with the blue Tomy tracks bat as you cane see in the pictures there is a slight difference.
