Wildlife. Goats (one in The Three Railway Engines) are domesticated, so I knew it couldn't be that. Because birds are too obvious, I'll guess it's the elephant from Troublesome Engines (even though it was a circus animal).

No, not the elephant. There's a cow before that goat anyway. Obviousness does not necessarily equate to elimination.
